Japanese food culture, Tsujita style of eating Tsukemen.

This is Nihon-i, the Japan Information Portal Site.

Thank you for accessing Nihon-i BLOG today.

This time's topic is about Japanese food culture, Tsujita style of eating Tsukemen.

When I visited Tsujita the other day, I saw the recommended way to eat Tsukemen at the counter of the famous Tsujita Tsukemen restaurant, so I made a video of how I followed the recommended way.

We have uploaded the video to our official YouTube channel "Nanami Japanell", please watch the video.

When I tried it, I was convinced! The tsukemen was even tastier than before, and it was a perfect example of the delicate characteristics of the Japanese food culture.

Tsukemen is said to have originated in Japan.

Tsukemen is eaten by dipping it in soup.

It is a common practice for people living in Japan!

It seems to have been influenced by the traditional way of eating Zaru-soba (cut buckwheat noodles) in Japanese food culture.

It may be common practice for people living in Japan to eat tsukemen by dipping them in soup, but there are people who do not take it for granted.

Some foreign people who come to Japan and enjoy tsukemen may have trouble eating tsukemen.

This article includes episodes from people I have met at other tsukemen restaurants.

If you have time, please watch the video "How to Eat Tsukemen".

We hope you will deepen your understanding of Japanese food culture through tsukemen.
